The Talking Earth Studio and it’s unusual pots are a treasured secret among several collectors. “they are spiritual pieces,” says Brenda Wival of Brantford… “Steve has an innate ability to understand the human soul and to put that in his art – and it’s all rooted in Iroquois tradition.”

Contemporary pieces of handmade native pottery are created on Six Nations Reserve in Ontario, Canada. The pottery talks of the attributes found in nature that we emulate and recognize in other people like family, friends or co-workers. We use the sgraffito technique on porcelain. Themes are repeated with no two being alike and a story explaining each piece of pottery is included. These are collectable, lasting and cherished gifts that connect us to the pure and perfect order of the universe.
